To vote in person on Election Day this Tuesday, you must visit your assigned voting location based on your physical address.
The three students being recognized this week are Janelle Bamford, Alyx Polomo, and Thomas Perry!
Mrs. Covarrubias would like to recognize Janelle Bamford for standing up for a student who was being bullied and finding an adult to notify.
Mrs. Knipe would like to recognize Alyx Polomo for adjusting to a complete schedule change with ease and working very hard to change the trajectory of the semester.
Mrs. Mathias says Thomas Perry is the man! He always puts in top-notch effort and strives to keep learning. A true leader in AVID, Thomas challenges himself everywhere he goes and is always eager to lend a hand to his peers.
The three staff members being recognized this week are Mrs. McFetridge, Mrs. Richmond, and Mr. Tullis.
Students would like to thank Mrs. McFetridge for being a kind, funny, and supportive math teacher. Whether guiding students through tricky concepts or creating a welcoming classroom where mistakes are part of learning, her patience and dedication make every student feel valued.
A huge shout-out to Matt Tullis for being an incredible tech! He is always quick to help and patient with every question. We are so lucky to have him keeping our school running smoothly!
Students would like to recognize Mrs. Richmond for her kindness and dedication! Whether explaining tough concepts, supporting nervous students, or rewarding hard work, her caring presence makes everyone feel supported. Thank you for always going the extra mile! (Her students accepted her certificate on her behalf today, as she wasn't at school).
A Successful Red Ribbon Week!
This week, Kuna Middle School celebrated Red Ribbon Week by focusing on far more than just saying "no" to drugs—it was all about making positive, healthy choices for our minds and bodies! Students brought incredible energy to our daily dress-up themes, and on Wednesday, the entire campus joined in on a special activity where they decorated clothes pins with encouraging words and affirmations to spread joy and connection across school (check out the collage below!). The school spirit carried right into Friday with an extraordinary turnout for Halloween dress-up day—we've never seen so many creative costumes! To top it all off, CAST treated us to a fantastic skit featuring a mock game show called "The Price is Pressure," putting a fun, memorable spin on handling peer pressure. Thank you to everyone who made this week such a success!
