Friday Shout Outs:

• We have five incredible students who are receiving shout outs this week!
  • Mr. O would like to recognize Parker Petche and Samuel Perry for demonstrating honesty and good vices when they turned in a lost wallet.
  • Mrs. Pace would like to recognize Dax Beckenhauer-Ives and Logan Barnhill for demonstrating ALL of the Kave attributes in Robotics. They helped other students with a difficult task.
  • Mrs. Richmond would like to recognize Jaide DeBlieck for advocating for herself in order to be successful.
• This week, we want to give shout outs to two phenomenal teachers.
  • Students would like to recognize Mrs. Haro for her exceptional kindness, her patient and thorough teaching, and her bright, encouraging presence that makes every student feel supported.

• Energy drinks are not allowed on campus! If you are seen drinking one, you will be asked to throw it away.
• Parent-teacher conferences are on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Please take a few minutes to complete your Quarter 1 Student Reflection with honesty and care. Reflecting on your study habits and work ethic is the best way to celebrate your success and set clear goals for the rest of the year. Finish Quarter 1 strong!

• Main entree: Beef taco, refried beans, shredded lettuce, salsa, and fruit choice.
• Second option: Burger or cheeseburger and vegetable choice.

Sports/Deportes:

• Fall sports athletes, please return your washed uniform to your coach as soon as possible to avoid a fee on your student account
  • Olivia, Delilah, Miley, and Payson, you need to turn in your jerseys to Coach Sauve ASAP!
  • Any volleyball players who have not turned in their jerseys need to do so ASAP, this means you AVA, BEBE, and MYLIE.  
• Wrestling has their first home match against Lone Star, the defending district champs. Come out and show for KMS at 4 in the gym.

On Nov. 3, 2026, Kuna School District voters will consider renewing the district’s supplemental levy for two years at the same amount $3,609,360 a year.

If approved, the levy will be used for salaries and benefits for teachers, coaches, and school resource officers for the next two school years to maintain opportunities and supports for students. 

Specifically, funds would maintain the following:

• 40 teachers
• 30 coaching stipends
• A School Resource Officer

NO TAX INCREASE 

Tax Impact: The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer on the proposed levy is a tax of $53.64 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions. The proposed levy replaces an existing levy that expires on June 30, 2027, and that currently costs $53.64 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value. Therefore, if the proposed levy is approved, the tax per $100,000 of taxable assessed value is not expected to change. The proposed levy would be assessed for two years.

7^th and 8^th Grade ONLY

Get Ready to Smile! Free Cavity Prevention Clinic

Delta Dental is coming to Kuna Middle School to provide free dental sealants and screenings exclusively for 7th and 8th-grade students. The clinic will take place from Monday, October 26th through Thursday, October 29th in a special room in the school library.

How to Sign Up Your Student:

To ensure your child can participate, you must complete and return a permission slip using one of the following methods:

• Physical Permission Slip: Your student will be given a paper permission slip during their Advisory class to bring home. Please sign and return it to the school.
• Digital Permission Slip: Digital Link

Please complete either the physical or digital slip prior to the clinic week. If you have any questions regarding the screenings or the sign-up process, please reach out to us at (208) 922-1002.
