• Volleyball: 
  • 7B Volleyball fought hard in their match against Summitview, with Victoria and Olivia receiving serves to give us a win in the first set. B team continued to fight through 2 more sets, ultimately loosing in the 3rd set. Great fight last night ladies! 
  • 7A volleyball team put up a great fight against Summitview last night. Hannah dominated at the net with a smart tip and excellent coverage, while Addeline stepped up with several passes to keep the play alive. Great team effort! Keep up the good work! Coach Brown is proud of you.
  • The 8th Grade B Volleyball team put up an incredible fight in their match last night! While they didn't walk away with the win, the Lady Kavemen showed relentless heart, grit, and incredible sportsmanship, cheering each other on until the very last whistle. A huge shoutout to Allie Richards, who led the team with two massive serving streaks and racked up multiple aces to keep the momentum alive! Way to dig deep and play with heart, Lady Kavemen! Hold your heads high—Coach Juarez is proud of you!  
  • Your 8A Lady Kavemen played an incredible game last night, battling hard and securing a well-earned victory over Summitvue! It was a hard-fought match, and the girls showed tremendous effort, teamwork, and determination from start to finish!

      Miley — 2 aces & 4 kills
      Jocelyn — 8 aces

• Football:
  • 8th grade football team played a good game Wednesday night. We had great improvements on our offensive line. Shout out to: Receptions by Talan, Sawyer, Tucker and Jesse. Defensive pick by Tucker. Monster run by EJ! Back to practice and film review Thursday to strive for a win!

Friday Shout Outs!

• This week’s teacher shout outs go to Mrs. Stevenson and Mrs. Calhoun!
  • Students appreciate Mrs. Stevenson for her supportive, kind, and understanding approach in reading class, making it easy for students to ask for help and encouraging them to stay on track and keep pushing forward.
  • Mrs. Calhoun is described by students as a "school mom" who creates a warm and welcoming environment, offering patient guidance and encouragement to help every student succeed.
• Our three student shout outs go to Ellieana Corona, Tyce Lasso, and Braxton Hall!
  • Ellianna Corona took on a leadership role within her science group, ensuring everyone stayed on task and recorded their data. Mrs. Jones appreciates your leadership!
  • Tyce Lasso helps the people around him keep a cool and calm energy level and get through their notes and assignments in science.
  • Braxton Hall  sets a great example in the classroom by staying on task and always offering to help others understand the math when working with partners.

Remembering 9/11

• Today, September 11th, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost during the tragic events that occurred 25 years ago. Though this occurred before any of you were born, 9/11 remains a deeply meaningful day in our nation's history as we reflect on the brave first responders and innocent people whose lives were changed forever. Today serves as a reminder of how our communities came together with compassion, strength, and unity, inspiring us to carry forward those values of kindness and respect in our school every day.

• In a hard fought loss against Middleton last night, 7th B volleyball held their own with Marina receiving serves, and Olivia’s serving. Way to go ladies! 
• Last night's 8A volleyball game was a hard fought match. Unfortunately it ended in loss.
  • In the first match, Miley had 4 aces and a kill, Camilla had a kill, Mackynlee had 3 kills and a block, Jocelyn had a kill, Braylen had a kill, Coach V is proud of the fight and we are definitely getting better with each game.

• Techgirlz is just around the corner! Mrs. Riggs is able to take the first 20 eighth grade girls who fill out permission slips. The field trip is on October 15, but the permission slip is due on September 29. Please see your science teacher or Mrs. Riggs for details.

• Good luck to our Cross Country at their meet in Middleton today! Kick those heals up!
• We are crossing every finger and every toe for our 8th Grade Volleyball teams today! They play against Fremont at our home court. Make sure you show up and cheer loud!
• Huge congratulations to Kuna Middle School’s own Anton Arabadji! Following his outstanding performance at the Arsenal Soccer Camps, Anton has been invited to represent the Kaptiva Sports Academy Global Stage at the FIT Cup 2027 in Barcelona, Spain! He will be traveling to Europe next year to train and compete against international competition.

Today is Friday, September 18, 2026. It is a B Day.

Lunch/Almuerzo:

Sports/Deportes:

• Super great race out at Middleton yesterday! We saw some pretty amazing PRs happen. Big shout out to Spencer W Josiah R, Kolson B, Emma Z, Morgan Z, Kenley W. Special shout out to Emma Miller for an incredible sprint to the finish. One more regular season race to go!
• 7A team dominated the court against Fremont last night! What a game, team! Kenzie was awesome at the net covering for Hannah. Melanie and Ximena came up big with key passes and digs, while Rozlynn and Addelyne kept the momentum going with great passing. Addison and Laynie were everywhere—quick feet, smart plays, amazing serves, and total court coverage! Amazing job, girls! Coach Brown is super proud of every one of you!
• 7th B volleyball, against our home town rivals, won their first game this season. The first set was full of beautiful serves, net protection and great rallies, ending in a 24/26 win! Way to bring home the win in the second set, continuing your hard work and energy! Coach is proud of all 8 of you!! 
• In the crosstown rivalry against that school who shall not be named, your 8A Kuna Kavemen owned the court and sent them home with a loss! It was a thrilling team victory, with some outstanding individual performances:
  • Miley — 1 ace & 2 kills
    Makynlee — 1 block
    Anani — 5 aces & 2 kills
    Ava — 1 ace
    Camilla — 1 drop kill
    • The Lady Kavemen brought the energy, battled for every point, and came away with another big win! 
      • Who has the best 8th grade volleyball team in Kuna?

  • First, Students would like to recognize Mr. Verunac  for his kindness, awesome sense of humor, and engaging teaching style—with students calling him kind, funny, and absolute 'beast' of a teacher!"
  • Second, students want to give a big shout-out to Mrs. Brittney Jones! Students appreciate her patience and praise her for making science exciting, keeping advisory engaging, and being an awesome, fun, and chill teacher!
  • Lastly, the science teachers would like to give a shout out to Mrs. Dent. She made their week by making them each fun, science-themed shirts. The teachers appreciate how you always think of everyone else.

  • First up, a huge congratulations to Harley Goold! Mrs. Haro wants to recognize Harley for scoring a 100% on her History test, participating in class discussions, and setting a great example for her peers.
  • Next, shout-out to Peyton Walker! Mrs. Covarrubias recognizes Peyton for always stepping up and being willing to help others in class.
  • Finally, way to go Tyler Kasparek! Mrs. Birkinbine gives Tyler a shout-out for crushing his Unit 1 Math test with a perfect 100%!
