We’re excited to welcome Anita Wilson as the new principal of Kuna Middle School beginning in the 2025–26 school year. Anita brings more than two decades of experience in education, including 17 years in school leadership. She is passionate about building strong school communities, supporting student success, and partnering with families and staff.
Anita was born and raised in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia. At age 18, she moved to Nampa, Idaho, to attend Northwest Nazarene University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
After graduation, Anita spent two years working in retail while also supporting children with disabilities and volunteering in a residential care facility for the elderly. Her passion for helping others led her to Boise State University, where she earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling.
Anita began her school counseling career at Jefferson Junior High (now Jefferson Middle School) before moving to Caldwell High School, where she served for five years. During that time, she collaborated closely with the AVID teacher, co-teaching lessons and helping students prepare for college and career success.
After gaining valuable experience in school leadership, Anita returned to NNU to complete the Educational Leadership Program and earn her Administrative Credential. She continued at Caldwell High School, serving four years as Assistant Principal and the last 13 years as Principal.
Anita brings deep experience in building strong school cultures and support systems. She has led efforts to develop Professional Learning Teams, implement a model Response to Intervention (RTI) program, and launch positive behavior support systems at the secondary level.
Anita and her husband, Will, live in Nampa. She is a proud stepmom to three adult children and a joyful grandma to a wonderful 6-year-old. She’s also a devoted dog mom to Scout, her 13-year-old Labrador Retriever who still loves to hike and swim!
In her free time, Anita enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, gardening, making jewelry, crafting, reading, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and traveling.
She is excited to join the Kuna Middle School team and looks forward to supporting students, staff, and families in the Kuna School District.
Go Kavemen!
