Fall Conferences Wednesday, October 21 (1:00–3:00 PM) and Thursday, October 22 (3:30–7:00 PM)
Arrival Time ParentSquare Signups: In an effort to anticipate when families will attend conferences, we will be asking families to identify when they plan to arrive at conferences. By reserving a 30-minute arrival slot, we can balance foot traffic across the building so you can spend your time connecting with teachers rather than standing in line.
Signups will open early next week via ParentSquare. This sign up does NOT lock you into a conference time with a particular teacher but rather is a general idea of when you will arrive at conferences. You will be able to visit with as many of your child's teachers during conferences as you need to.
Please note, Thursday evening from 4:30–6:30 PM is traditionally our highest-traffic time. If your family’s schedule is flexible, we kindly encourage you to reserve an arrival slot on Wednesday afternoon (1:00–3:00 PM) or Thursday early afternoon (3:30–4:30 PM). This helps save peak evening slots for families who do not have that flexibility.
Out of respect for teacher's time we will not start any conferences after 6:35pm on Thursday evening.
Conferences are are a collaborative partnership, structured around a quick, focused check-in between parent, teacher, and student. Students are expected to attend with their families, bringing a Quarter 1 Reflection Sheet to help walk through their goals and progress. Students will complete the Reflection Sheet prior to conferences with their teachers.
We will be conducting School-o-gy Parent Information Sessions throughout Conferences.

On Nov. 3, 2026, Kuna School District voters will consider renewing the district’s supplemental levy for two years at the same amount $3,609,360 a year.
If approved, the levy will be used for salaries and benefits for teachers, coaches, and school resource officers for the next two school years to maintain opportunities and supports for students.
Specifically, funds would maintain the following:
- 40 teachers
- 30 coaching stipends
- A School Resource Officer
No Tax Increase
Tax Impact: The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer on the proposed levy is a tax of $53.64 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions. The proposed levy replaces an existing levy that expires on June 30, 2027, and that currently costs $53.64 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value. Therefore, if the proposed levy is approved, the tax per $100,000 of taxable assessed value is not expected to change. The proposed levy would be assessed for two years.

Safety is important at Kuna Middle School. You may have noticed several security measures in place at our school. Parents have to "buzz-in" at the front door of the school to enter, all perimeter doors of the school are locked at all times, staff are on duty inside and outside throughout the day, we have an SRO, and dedicated security personnel. We also practice safety drills often.
Kuna School District follows the Idaho Standard Command Responses for Schools (ISCRS) for emergency procedures. This is standard responses for:
Hall Check: classroom & office doors are locked, teachers continue teaching, students are not allowed in the halls.
Lock Down: classroom & office doors are locked, teachers and students shelter silently out of sight in the classroom with lights off.
Evacuation: also known as a fire drill.
Reverse Evacuation: during recess or before school, student re-enter the building to a specific class.
Earthquake Drill: We follow procedures from the Great Idaho Shake Out and the Drop, Cover, and Hold steps to stay safe during an earthquake.
We conduct safety drills often. Evacuation drills are conducted every month. Lockdown drills are conducted every semester. We also conduct Earthquake drills every semester. These are drills are coming up soon. Teachers review the protocols with students prior to the drills however we do not typically announce when the drills take place before hand. We will send out a notification to parents that the drill has taken place afterwards.
