Subject: Sign-Up Now Open: Fall Conferences Arrival Windows (Oct 21 & 22)Dear Families,
We are excited to invite you to our Fall Conferences! Conferences are a collaborative partnership structured around brief, focused 7-minute check-ins with each of your student’s teachers.
Conference Schedule:
- Wednesday, October 21: 1:00 PM – 3:15 PM (Building doors close to new arrivals at 2:45 PM)
- Thursday, October 22: 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Building doors close to new arrivals at 6:30 PM)
How to Reserve Your Arrival Window
To help improve your experience, we are introducing 30-minute Arrival Windows this year.- Why we are doing this: Our goal is to spread out foot traffic across both days so you can spend your time connecting with teachers rather than waiting in long lines. While we know this won't eliminate all wait times, we hope it creates a smoother, more manageable flow for everyone.
- How it works: Selecting a slot reserves your general arrival window (capped at 85 families per 30-minute block). This is NOT an individual appointment with a specific teacher. Once inside, you are free to visit with as many of your child’s teachers as you’d like.
- Peak Evening Warning: Thursday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM is traditionally our highest-traffic time. If your schedule is flexible, we kindly ask that you reserve a slot on Wednesday afternoon (1:00–3:15 PM) or early Thursday (3:30–4:30 PM) to help keep peak slots open for families who need them.
What to Expect & How to Prepare
- Student Reflection & Focused Family Time: We highly encourage students to attend conferences with their parent or guardian! Prior to the event, students will complete a Quarter 1 Reflection Sheet in Advisory. Please take a few minutes to review this sheet with your child beforehand and use the designated space on the page to jot down your questions. Teachers will start each 7-minute check-in by asking what you’d like to cover so you can focus on what matters most.
- Keeping the Focus on Your Student: To help keep these short check-ins focused and make the most of our teachers' limited time, we kindly ask that older siblings and former students refrain from attending. While we always love seeing our alumni, keeping the focus strictly on current students ensures every family gets the full attention they need during their reserved time.
- Main Entrance Check-In: Please enter through the Main Front Doors. At the entrance, you will receive a building map and a teacher location guide showing room assignments and hallway clusters.
- Translation & Interpretation Services: If your family requires translation support, please add a private comment to your ParentSquare sign-up indicating your preferred language so we can prepare interpreter support for your arrival time.
- Parent Information Sessions: Drop-in information sessions will be available throughout the event to help parents navigate Schoology and stay connected to student learning.
