8th Grade Field Day Info

Dear Parents and Students,

 This year, we will be holding the 8th Grade Celebration on campus at KMS!

 We are so excited to celebrate this accomplishment with you, and we have many fund things planned!  Celebrations, whether in the community, or at school are a big responsibility. Therefore, any student may be deemed ineligible to attend (or attend with parental supervision) due to office referrals or other behavior violations at the discretion of KMS staff, up to and including the day of the event. We also cannot allow a student to miss a day of school if they are failing classes. *Please have a discussion with your student about their choices in the final weeks of school, as we want all 8th grade students to be able to attend. 

• Schedule:
  • Date: Thursday May 28th
  • Students come to school at the regular time. They attend their advisory class, and go to the field day together
  • They are released at 2:25 from the back field. 
• Chaperones:
  •  All chaperones must pass a background check. To access the application, please visit our website. 
• Cost:
  • Cost to attend the 8th Grade Field Day is $15. 
    • Additionally, you make make an additonal payment for support students who may not be able to afford a ticket.

    •  This includes a T-shirt that they can wear at the High School next year
    • Lunch-we will be grilling Costco Hot Dogs. 
    • Sweet treats- We have some parents who have volunteered to run the popcorn machine, and cotton candy machine. We have also contracted with Kona Ice to come. This is included. 
    • Yard Games, Dunk Tank, Photo Booth, Obstacle Course, Yearbook signing station, and much more.
