From the Principal: Feeling Grateful for Our Growth Together

Hello Kuna Middle School Family!

As we move further into the school year, I wanted to take a moment to pause and share something that’s truly been on my mind: gratitude. There’s a growing sense of positive energy and progress here at KMS, and it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible contributions of everyone involved.

Students, thank you for your energy and eagerness to learn. Staff, thank you for your dedication to high-quality teaching and collaboration. Families, thank you for your invaluable partnership and support.

Your combined efforts drive our mission forward and build momentum towards our vision of being a top-performing, collaborative school. I’m optimistic about our journey together!

Let's spread the positivity: share what you love about KMS on social media with #Kunamiddleschool.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Shelly Manuel

Science

Students had the opportunity to test water samples from Sego Prairie Pond, Lake Lowell, and Indian Creek to learn about the health of these local waterways. As part of this hands-on investigation, we also explored the various organisms that call these aquatic ecosystems home and discussed how they can be indicators of water quality.

Feed it Forward

Food Insecurity is on the rise at Kuna Middle School
Feed it Forward is a program hosted by KMS PTO for KMS students.
It allows anyone to donate in order to cover needed school lunch funds.
Students are not allowed to charge meals.
Insufficient funds= no lunch
Short $.50 =no lunch

But, Feed it Forward can cover a student that day, so they can have a
hot lunch.
KMS PTO donated $500 in March to the program, that money was well spent covering student lunches.
They have donated another $500, but it will likely be gone in six weeks or less.
Please consider donating.

How to donate:
Scan the QR code, Specify Feed it Forward on your donation
If you would like a receipt, please reach out to the KMS PTO and they will provide one.
KMS PTO is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization
Thank you for supporting KMS and it's students
