From the Principal: Partnerships with Purpose
Dear KMS Families,

Spring Break is here, and we're celebrating our community partnerships! At Kuna Middle School, we know these connections are key to a great education. They extend learning beyond the classroom. We want our school to be deeply connected to our community.

This week, we're sharing some of our recent partnership impacts. On Wednesday, a community member donated two yards of sand for our long jump pit as soon as they heard that there was a need. Also, this week, we gained a new track and field sponsor, Rogue Cement and Construction who is contributing all the cement for two new throwing pads for our disc throwers! The city of Kuna is ready to prepare the ground for this project as soon as possible.

Partnerships help students explore everything, from exploring careers to building skills. They also build a strong school community.

Recently our PTO partnered with Westmark Credit Union, who generously donated the final $2700 to finalize our purchase of a new sound system for our gym. Do you know a business that wants to partner with us? Think about it and contact the school office upon return from Spring Break. Let's create more great experiences for our students!

Shelly Manuel

Science
This week, our students explored thermal energy and the law of conservation of mass. Students discovered that while mass can change within a system, matter itself is never created or destroyed—it simply transforms. They witnessed this firsthand by burning steel wool, watching as it oxidized and formed a brand-new substance.
Check out some exciting photos from our lab below!

Feed it Forward
Food Insecurity is on the rise at Kuna Middle School
Feed it Forward is a program hosted by KMS PTO for KMS students.
It allows anyone to donate in order to cover needed school lunch funds.
Students are not allowed to charge meals.
Insufficient funds= no lunch
Short $.50 =no lunch

But, Feed it Forward can cover a student that day, so they can have a
hot lunch.
KMS PTO donated $500 in March to the program, that money was well spent covering student lunches.
They have donated another $500, but it will likely be gone in six weeks or less.
Please consider donating.

How to donate:
Scan the QR code, Specify Feed it Forward on your donation
If you would like a receipt, please reach out to the KMS PTO and they will provide one.
KMS PTO is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization
Thank you for supporting KMS and it's students
